Elegant dining room! I would suggest a spectacular piece of art or a trio of art. That would work beautifully! My living room is almost totally open to the dining room and I've done each room in different, but complimentary colors. My living room is Classic Silver from Behr and my dining room is Newport Blue, also from Behr. The colors compliment each other and the new dining room rug that I purchased ties the colors together (grays and blues).

Have you considered finishing the ceiling? With your chandelier I think a high gloss-glass finish would be stunning ( peach, taupe, or aquamarine) I would coordinate colored stemware/napkins to add color with perhaps a short full flower arrangement. Mawah-beautiful.
