Growing from Seed Butterfly Garden

Milkweed seedlings having issues

The leaves of my milkweed seedlings are all cupped downwards. I've grown these before but never had this issue. I suspect possibly the soil is more moist than they prefer. It's not because of too much fertilizer because I've only fertilized them once and it was a weak solution. What do you guys think?

Very dark green (cupped) leaves leads me to believe it could be from Nitrogen toxicity. How much fertilizer?

Milkweed doesn't actually require fertilizer.

Most plants do not require fertilizer to survive. Most plants THRIVE when fertilized. And my milkweeds thank me profusely for it.

Gargenfanatic, your pictured plants are bigger than my notion of "seedling". They want more soil depth; and transplantation also is a way to remedy the current wetness. Not an instantaneous remedy, because the baring of milkweed roots should be avoided. Let us know how it goes.
