Bent-over sansevieria -- why

Is it lack of water that makes sans bend over, instead of standing straight up? I've been trying not to water them much in the Winter but I'm thinking that was a mistake since new shoots have been coming up all Winter. I remember someone saying they hold theirs up with stakes but why does it happen to begin with, Experts?

Pls show us a pic of your Sans leaning over. Mine don't do that unless it's the natural growth habit of that particular plant.

I grow indoors only in fast draining mix which I DO water during Winter, maybe every couple of weeks.

Am no expert, but common sense tells me new growth needs watering. I just found a new shoot breaking the soil surface the other day & I watered the pot around the outer edges of the mix.
