Advice on Fireplace Remodel

Hello! I'm looking to remodel the fireplace facade and put in built-in shelves on both sides (like the sample photo). I'm lost on who to even begin contacting to get the ball rolling as I understand more than one trade person will be involved. If you can look at my current set up and the "vision" and let me know which piece needs to be consulted by a carpentry, drywall, or fireplace person.. Or even just one person that'd be great! Any insights or suggestions would be appreciated :-)

Contact a contractor; they coordinate all the trades people, carpenter, drywall, etc

The tv looks to high to me. It should be lower. It is lower on your inspiration picture, but, your inspiration picture has a longer lower opening and is either gas or electric. Yours appears to be wood burning. You can build in the sides, and have it all look similar, but, find a new place for the tv and just have a nice pretty picture where you now have the tv.

Love the inspiration photo - but I'm just not seeing this set-up working in your home. The fireplace front will need to be built out to accommodate flush shelving - and you don't have the space on your stairwell side to do so. A contractor would be a good first step to find out if it is even possible.
