How is Your Weather?

We had rain and thunderstorms last night, I don't know how bad, I slept through it pretty much. However today till 8 tonight we are to have high winds and the weather man says might have power outages, so I am going to fill up my bathtub as that will be good water for flushing! I have bottled water on hand for when the power goes out. It is 61 degrees out early this morning. I am still hibernating! I have been in for over two weeks, Things are going quite well. How are the rest of you doing. I love being by myself! I do get a lot of phone calls, texts, and an occasional visit. Well, I do have Izzi.

West Central Florida. Predicted high on Sunday of 90 with a low in the low 70s. More than 10 degree above average (normal?). No rain for the entire month of March; it is very dry here.

70's in Central Ohio. Huge amounts of rain this week and this year. I think we're 15 inches above normal rainfall. Balmy and enjoyable, no need to hide indoors due to muggy warmth.

Rain, rain, rain. I am so over the rain. It is hard enough being isolated alone, but with the addition of the gloomy, cloudy, rainy days, it really makes me feel as if I am trapped.

Pouring rain and gusty winds. A couple of tornado touchdowns near me

in NW WI last night. Haven't heard how bad they were yet...National Weather

Service still studying them I guess. There was some building and electrical

damage for sure. Temps are colder than they said they would be here.

Just twist the knife, Lars, why don't you, LOLOL!!! Sigh, it's gray, gloomy and raining here again, and we haven't even begun April... ( 46 degrees in Central Massachusetts)

It has been a rainy spring and a lot of overcast, gray days, but everything is so green and beautiful. I love living here and still making discoveries every day.

Like you, Marilyn Sue, I don't mind staying home. I have a long list of things I need to do, but a lot of those things are things I really enjoy. Well, I don't particularly like potting waterlilies, but love to see them bloom.

In Portland the weather is quite nice, mild spring conditions which is alternating light rain with clear 65F days, trees and flowers are starting to bloom. Umm, allergy season is going to be a problem, because coughing or sneezing freaks out everyone in earshot.

Also in west central FL on the coast and it's so dry my yard is crispy and the air is full of dust and oak pollen. It's been in the 80s every day and quite sunny - beautiful beach weather if the beaches weren't closed.

It's nice that the humidity here is low, but I'm envious of those experiencing rain!

Rainy since Fall, about. Last 2 whole days of sun and 75-80!! Leaves are popping out, viburnums are blooming, along with azaleas, jessamine, and buds on iris. Moving 10 cu yds of 50/50 to new flower/tree beds since I ran out of AP flour, but 6 loaves of freshly baked bread in the freezer. Full tummy and stressed leg muscles - isn't life grand!

Misty, rainy and about 40F in North Idaho. The good part is that we can see it taking the snow down. It's supposed to be windier and stormy tomorrow and we'll probably get snow at our altitude. Sounds like that's how it will be for the next week or so. Snowdrops are blooming, so there is hope. I'll putter in my greenhouse and pretend I'm outside.

Central WI--rain & gloom, high winds yesterday. But warmer than average.

Upside is that it is rain & not snow. And the rain is taking out the piled up snow banks.

Raining here today and yesterday too. I am very happy to see it as we are at about 1/3 of our average annual rainfall and the snow pack is sparse as well. We are nearing the end of our rainy season and it's looking like it's going to be a very dry summer and fall.

Beautiful today with a high of 40, pretty snow off and on yesterday. Springtime in the Colorado Rockies. Would be a great day to ski and apres outside in other circumstances, All resorts are closed due to Covid19 and we are under a stay at home order, which we were doing anyway. It will be a good day to take the dog in a long walk while social distancing though.

Really nice here in SoCal...cool (low 60's) and sunny. Supposed to warm up this week. It's especially helpful now since walking, running, riding bikes is a healthy way to pass some time. We saw people loading up golf gear the other day, but I think that's stopped. However, we saw people playing tennis yesterday.

It rained here yesterday, but the sun is out today and it feels like it will be hot and humid. I haven't checked the forecast so maybe in the 80's today. I went out and checked my veggies. They are doing well right now.

Fresno - Central Valley CA. I woke up to a very wet yard, but the sun is now shining and appears that it might be a bit warmer today. We've had very cool days and very chilly nights.... which is unusual this time of year.

I think it rained most of the night and was raining when I got up at 7. But now, hazy sunshine and things are becoming more dry. It's not quite 50F at almost 11 AM. I sleep soundly, but we have a downspout outside our bedroom that apparently 'gurgles' and can be heard through the open window....as DH has reported ;0)

I'm hoping the rain settled the pollen down a little. As we age, DH and I both have become more sensitive to it. Any bit of irritated throat or taking out a Kleenex does certainly bring alarmed looks from anyone nearby. Not that we are supposed to have anyone nearby just now....

Maybe similar to chloebud, in coastal SoCal. There have been a few days of pretty light rain over the past several weeks. Otherwise, sunny and nice. 60s with low 70s expected for the coming days. Difficult to spend most of the time indoors.

Rain all day yesterday, a lull right now. But more rain later today. I don't mind the rain right now as I threw out my back yesterday morning picking up box packaging to take to the dump. Which I didn't get to do - because of the back. Unfortunately I'd planned on taking the kitty litter, too... and that task can't be accomplished for a few days since I can't bend over easily now.

I need to get outdoors to get the garden beds ready. But the rain AND the back makes it encouraging for me to remain inside until the back heals more. Except for the chickens...
