LOL!! I could tell you a couple of horror stories regarding this organization that had truly frightening outcomes. I would urge anyone to avoid signing up for their "services". Expensive, unnecessary and with possibly disastrous results.

And before ChemLawn they were known as Toxins&Carcinogens-R-Us. At least they are getting better at their marketing! :O)

I'm sorry to say I used them about 12 years ago and saw no benefits to my yard. It was as if they were spraying water on it. Such a waste of money.

Thanks for sharing this. For the first time in over 25 years of taking care of my own lawn at various houses, and trying to be as organic as possible, I had a weak moment and considered calling them. I know! Dumb. But man, I’m really frustrated and discouraged with my lawn this year. All of the problems are wearing me down. And it’s a rent house, a nice one, but still ... I’m a bit more limited in general with things I’d do otherwise (and investing money for a yard I don’t own). It started to be a tempting idea — just hire someone to fix things and keep them fixed.

Anyway, I’m glad I saw this. I won’t ever think of them again. ;)

I used to work with a salesman for ChemLawn. He and I carpooled on a 2-hour commute for a week, so I got to talk to him about his former job. He knew nothing about lawns. Even after working for them for 3 years, he knew nothing. He followed the pictures in the workbook they gave him and recommended different programs to the customers during his pitch.
