everdebz.... I will try to post a photo of my windows tomorrow. I have a triple sized window in the bedroom, overlooking our pond. I don’t want a rod to go all the way across the windows. You are getting so many great ideas! I think painting the wall first will drive the other decisions. If you choose to get the flamingo-photo for above the bed, or you choose the parrots, or whatever, that might affect which pillows will be best. I love the idea of glass lamps with a green shade. But wait till your wall is done. Amazing how a whole group of designers will help with getting a bedroom from blah to wow. It’s going to be amazing!

I posted this yesterday but it never came up! So trying again. With your sewing skills, once you get wall color right and done, you could add block of solid color on drapery at THE TOP not bottom. This would draw the eye up so the drapes don’t overly compete for attention from your bedding. Here is example. Pretty easy to add to top of panels. I would NOT use grommet style panels.

Details -- even hardware/ doorknobs -- your lamps aren't a goner to me, if knobs are medium... chalk / spray SHADES a subtle warm accent, as soft as the bed furniture. [any loss with that?]….

With bedding's pattern, 2+ shades of green, I don't vote for another green / unless it's celerygirl's green wall - wall is bigger than the bedding -- the bedding isn't the only 'star'; it shares the stage with gold/black lamps, subtly elegant prints, silky throw.... [I had to try to analyze it]…. seriously I thought you said you want "true tropical" -- which? at nice hotel, or a fun hang-out....

No problem at all. Only took seconds to find. I hope you hold off on lamps and drapes until you paint that wall. Greens are hard to get right. If you post colors you are considering, I can analyze them to help you decide.

Charbowie the lamps in Beths inspiration photo are just lamps a green shade was put on. The lamps are actually some that pottery barn used to sell about 7-10 years back. I will hold off on lamps until I choose the paint color, and get wall painted. In my last house, I used Silver Sage from Restoration Hardware. I loved that color , but it’s on the blue green side. 😟 Their paint is pricey but very nice. Thanks again for your input. 😊

I don’t have the DNA of the RH silver sage but just from their website, I don’t think it has enough yellow? Looks like it is likely in the blue green Hue family but I can’t be sure.

I myself wouldn't fuss with the shade of green that might or might not really please after it all... you already have a second shade of green, I mean... keep it clean and avoid another green... rhyming boredom.. yikes.

I would post the wall colors you’re thinking of so the pros can help you decide. Greens ARE tricky so make sure to get the right one from the start. I love green and think that’s the right choice (over a coral).

Yes, you will need to be careful of green you pick. I did this SW Color Snap match and this tool has its limitations but can get you in the right ballpark. SW Dill is a good place to start.

Here is mock up of SW Dill on wall. Notice how it impacts what lamp you need. I like white against this color.

You definitely need to stay away from Sage greens or greens that carry a blue/gray undertone. You bedding leads towards the yellow undertone.

I must have been creating and typing at same time Flo was. We are on the same page. The mock up in mine is Ben Moore Courtyard Green.

I have looked up the DNA for SW Dill and BM Courtyard Green. Dill has an LRV of 27 and CG an LRV of 21. So Dill will be a bit more reflective of light (brighter) than Courtyard. They are both in the Green/Yellow Hue family. This means they are good for your green/yellow bedding. I can do an actual measurement later today. So two good options. With the stay at home situation, I would see if you can order on line a sample of each of these and one or two others for comparison purposes from www.samplize.com. Easy to work with and 12x12” squares with peel off backing. I just peel small corners to stick to walls. Great invention and saves money and wasted leftover sample paints. Plus the color is true to actual paint colors. I have a binder full of these. So easy.

FINALLY, I am sold on SW Dill. Love it! ❤️ Really close to the Courtyard Green. Both of you are on the very same page, so it has to be perfect for my room. Going to order it this afternoon. everdebz......The walls are all white at the moment. We have stucco walls with no trim around the windows. We have a marble window sill. We have double white doors leading into our bath. I PROMISE to post a few photos no later than tomorrow. I just decided on the paint. SW Courthouse Green. Excited and think it will look fantastic. I so appreciate everyone’s input. A real learning experience for me! Thank you! 😊

Which is it? I hope you get samples. Even though these colors are close the light in your room will be important to the ultimate look. I always get samples. You just never know what light in a room will do along with LowE glass too. Good luck.

I can feel your enthusiasm and Im happy you are excited about the colors. That said you REALLY should get samples. If you don't want to take the time to wait for samplize samples to come then at a minimum have samples mixed and try them in the room. EVERYTHING in your space is going to greatly influence the way the paint looks.

Start with the one you prefer first and post some pictures of your sample on the wall for us to see.

Following bc I also have palm leaf bedding and always looking for ideas! Can't wait to see how your room looks with the green wall.

I would try the bright green silk pillow color but cut in half....also I think Farrow & Ball has a color called Chumly? that might work.
