Just wondering at what point does a cutting need to be repotted? My sole winter survivor is now growing great guns and is starting to look quite out of balance. I measured it and it is 13 inches tall, in a 2 quart pot of regular garden soil which it has been in since September. I am planning to gift it to my mother in law whenever we are next able to travel (we were planning on Easter but that doesn't look likely now) and I had told her she could plant it in her garden after the last danger of frost which is the end of May in her area. I don't want to restrict its growth in a too-small pot with not enough nutrients, but I don't want to unduly knock its growth back if she is going to replant it in a few months. Thanks for any advice!
