Bryan Culver daylilies

Bob and I like buying daylilies from Bryan Culver. Bryan is in Canada and his daylilies do very well here. Here are some that we grow. Bryan does a lot of eyes and watermarks. He doesn't do ufs or teeth generally.

Fox Point is one of the first ones we bought. It's not a very large flower, but the plant is vigorous with tall scapes. It puts on quite a show.

Bird's Eye was new last spring.

Cardinal Explosion

Dragon So is one of Bryan's older ones. It increases well but its scapes are not very tall.

Melanie's Smile is one of my favorites. I love the color and watermark.

Sun Panda is another great grower.

Tepin has yet to show its true potential. It's in a part of the garden with some really nasty weeds. We hope to keep the beds a little neater this season

We have several new ones that we are looking forward to seeing like Breaking Lucky.

Nice blooms from both of you! I don’t believe I have any of his cultivars, will check. Fox Point is a great shade of orange and Rose Electra is a lovely pink.

I have a few Culver daylilies, they have done well here. I have had Foxpoint for several years, almost lost it but it has quickly recuperated. One of the best bloomers in my garden.

Victoriana

I also have Rose Electra

and Tikal Maid which looks similar to Foxpoint in these photos. Tikal Maid is shorter and different bloom time

I don't know why Houzz seems to dislike me so much, had to use my old laptop to add photos. It does it slowly, but it does it, unlike my other computer.

I trialed Spirit Fox years back. I am hesitant about northern grown daylilies being able to stand up to our high heat/humidity, but as I remember it did alright given some PM shade. I wasn't overly crazy about the bright orange it became by mid day. Nothing wrong with it, just not my favorite shade of orange. Ironically, I lost it over winter so decisions didn't have to be made.

Culver daylilies do very well here in my cold climate. The ones I have photos of:

HARMONY ROAD (one of his few UF's.....I used it's pollen last year)

SUN PANDA (amazing bud counts, increases rapidly)

SPIRIT FOX (another great plant, loads of scapes and buds, clumps up quickly)

Really nice images Boy Celeste , I really really want some of your soil. I am gobsmacked by the difference in the color of your two purple cultivars compared to the images on Culver's own website! and he doesn't even have a picture of Rebecca Hockridge . I wonder why.

signet....I don't understand why Rebecca Hockridge isn't on the website unless they don't have enough of it to sell? Maybe they sold out of it. It's an outstanding daylily. As for the soil, if I could ship it to Canada without needing a phyto certificate, I would send a huge bag of it....lol.
