I'm not belittling social distancing..it IS serious..I haven't left the house since March 11..but I saw this cartoon and couldn't resist..

Sherry..I'm glad!..if there was more space on the cartoon it would've been funny to give multiple choices..like one Empress Wu or Liberty..5 June or August Moon or Blue Hawaii..etc..I'm going out now to see what's happening..I'll post pics of anything fun..

Went to the big box store today and scored some shade perennials 3 for 50 cents and 7 for a dollar.--needed some water but not too bad stressed. They kept announcing that everyone should stay 6 feet away from each other. The lady in the nursery dept followed me and tried to pet our dog who was shopping with us. I just kept backing up and trying to be pleasant. She would reach out and I would back up. Then went to Big lots and they have put red X's on the floor and a big sign saying 'stay on an X until your turn'. The woman behind us came barging up and put her stuff on the counter. Do these people not have a clue??? I just moved to the very end of the counter. I guess I need to get more assertive.

Nicholsworth, my daughter lives with two monsterras in a small apartment in DC. She is constantly trying to keep them from taking over her small bedroom. So I laughed.

NW, your hosta social distancing Idea is funny! Frankielynnise, I can hardly believe you were at a big box store already.....it’s way to cold for that by me. But if you want people to keep their distance, wear a mask. It is a physical reminder to others and according to the news, we all may be required to wear one in public very soon. A mask can be homemade,if you sew or even a scarf up over your mouth will do. Stay safe everyone!

Dr Oz showed how to fold a bandanna around 2 rubberbands into a mask. I plan on making a few of those. There are no masks to be had here. I do have some gloves and have put them in both of our cars.

If you read Dear Mrs Manners one of her write ins last week said she wanted to get a yard stick and use it to make people stay back. I could see her waving that stick at people and it made me laugh.

It is in the 70's here and I am working in the yard every day. I told my neighbor today that what I was working on was my cornagarden.

I wear glasses and have hearing aids and my ears cannot take yet one more thing hanging on them!!! I plan to cut out some large squares from some old sheets, fold them into a triangle and wear it like a bandit does, tied behind my neck. "Get yourself an outfit and be a cowboy too".

I think someone with better tech skills improved my modified cartoon!..I put my version here and on my Facebook hosta group..I figure he must've seen mine..he used the same hosta..but he changed Tiny Tears to 12..here's the more professional version..

to escape to the garden is such a blessing..I keep thinking about the people in New York confined in apartments..that would feel like being in prison to me..those poor people..as Karin said..stay safe everyone..
