My first instinct was paint your shutters and door a light blue. Many brick homes are red with a neutral roof. You have the opposite, but you can still go with similar color schemes. Off-White trim doesn’t matter unless you‘re trying to go all whites.

It doesn’t bother me personally but I’m sure someone will mention the shutters on some windows are undersized. Sprucing up the landscaping also helps the exterior with no paint. This just happened to me- I redid 2 planters around my entry and suddenly the house looks fresh without the need for any paint.

We can definitely change out the shutters and do some landscaping but we want to paint the actual brick.

That’s easy. Stay with a beige to go with the creamy trim. Light blue door would be my choice. Remove shutters entirely.

Or you could match the trim, so have an all cream look.

You have nice brick. Why paint it? Take off the shutters. Update your landscaping and get a killer door.

We’re not going to live on the home long enough to have to repaint it so upkeep is not an issue and my husband can do the work. Lots of homes in my neighborhood have painted brick and my husband and I love the look.

I’m all for painted brick. Some say it impacts resale though, as it’s an irreversible change and added maintenance- I’m no expert there. If you know you plan to sell, maybe don’t paint it...it’s a nice brick...doesn’t look dated.

You will get a much better return on your home if you landscape it well rather than paint the brick, especially since you plan to only be in the home a short time before you sell. I like any of celerygirl’s ideas, they all brighten up the house. The tone of the brick in your pictures looks nice, I would start with the landscaping suggestions and changing the color of the shutters and front door first. Those seem more cost effective than painting the brick and could make your house look really cute.
