Advice for raised planter garden?

I have a raised planter that is about 34" x 13" when measured on the inside and about 5.5" deep.


I am thinking in putting it in spots that are going to be partial shade and I live in a US Zone 9 climate.


What type of plants do you recommend for this container for a beginner?
