Hope I don't bore anyone, but haven't seen any rain in a looonnnngggg time !

Just have to yell out the experience I had here last night,...snug as a bug in a rug,...clouds covering the sky all day while I pestered my tired brain once more to maybe discover another indoor activity that would occupy the last 4 hours of another boring day indoors, - something that would enliven the last hours of another " self - isolation " day here in God's Country.

Admittedly getting bored like hell, especially being a grumpy bachelor on a good day,..can only read my new book about Babe Ruth so long,..now getting desperate for a unique experience to liven up the last hours before bedtime.

Not optimistic to say the least,...but then I heard it ! Had to kill the TV volume,..yeah, there it is,..the pitter-patter of,..what do they call it ? RAIN, yeah that's it !

I jumped up, all excited, ran out and verified it was indeed rain !

The rain at that moment was minimal,..just a steady pitter-patter,... with the emphasis on steady,..so I went back inside smiling. After a half hour the rain stopped,..another half hour of nothing, then Mother Nature released a downpour,..could almost hear her say " There Doubting Thomas,..so you thought I was just teasing you eh ? TAKE THIS ! "

The dark skies released a steady deluge,...not a storm or anything, just a more substantial, steady pouring down that was music to my ears ! The downpour went on for a couple of hours,..reminding this old timer of a special movie that I saw as a skinny young kid, way back in 1952.
