I live near a river in south Florida and there are numerous ducks roaming the streets every day. Mostly Muscovy ducks.

About ten days ago, outside of my fence under a palm I was raking lots of leaves and I found six eggs under a thin cover of leaves. I left them alone and kept an eye on that spot.

That same day in the late afternoon a few ducks came to that spot and one of them (a male I think) got on top of the eggs and started fanning it's tail for almost an hour.

It stayed there for about an hour then left. I have been staying home with the stay at home order in Florida so I went outside to check a few times a day, they have not been back since, unless they are doing this at night while I slept.

A few days ago I went to check on the eggs and I also saw four left. I don't know perhaps snakes, raccoons, feral cats may have taken them. I have not seen the parents either.

Are these eggs most likely abandoned? Will they ever hatch? If they do hatch I am thinking there is no chance of them surviving without a mother around?

Should I move the remaining four eggs? There is a park across the street with lots of the same ducks and even little ducklings with their moms roaming all the time. If I bring those eggs close to any one of the duck moms would they tend to these eggs?
