Square edges and specialty finishes will take the price of laminate to very close to granite. Square edge is the most expensive as it’s not factory machine post formed. It’s local labor custom created. Either do the standard matte finish with the standard post formed roundover edge, or get a remnant of Uba Tuba.

We got a granite remnant for our laundry. Extremely cost effective. The cabinets are IKEA. Pls ignore the mess. The laundry room is my husband’s domain.

Stone remnant is your best value option.

Matte or fine velvet would be great but I would stay away from texture. It always looks a little phoney. No one can believe how nice laminate looks if chosen correctly & a win win for heavy use/price. GL :)
