What was the reason for that wall color? I find it kind of dead and a bit flesj colored so just wondering. What color ids the headboard ? I would be looking for some interesting bedding that allows you to choose a color for drapes from it. Waht color is the carpet? I think you have a lot of disjointed choices and you are now trying to make them work together.

We are horrible at picking paint colors. It was a bluish color before and we got tired of it. The headboard is a dark gray. The carpet is beige.

I would look for a wood blind to warm up the space. You don't really have room to hang curtains in the seating area. As for lamps, I would do a warm brass or brushed nickel base with a white shade. If you turn your comforter 90 degrees, it will fit better on the bed. A quilt like this folded at the end of your bed would help tie in your colors.
