Thanks! We have to try to hire someone else. The contractor won’t admit that it’s wrong and says it’s treated wood but it’s doesn’t look like it and even so i don’t think gaps or it should be exposed. We have to hire someone else to re do the trim on exterior of 5 windows that were installed too. It was done very sloppy. Large nails in trim did not fill punt and yellow caulking smeared all over the white trim and our really nice siding we had just did few years before. This has been very stressful 😒

I'm sure, get someone else to do it and go after him to get the money back...make sure the guy who will fix it put in the invoice "wrong installation"... This type of case never about the money but principles, easy wins.

Had a similar situation a while back, but much larger scope of work, the homeowner got almost 10k back.

Since you have a raised floor, the bottom of the door has to stay where it is, and the correct way to deal with that would be to have a higher threshold in place, eliminating the gap. It may even be possible to simply mount an additional threshold on top of the one you have, but my preference would be to remove the existing one first.
