Hello,

I was helping my mom clean the kitchen the other weekend. She has a red (painted I would assume) China cabinet that was pretty dusty at the bottom. I asked her what I should use to clean it and she said to use the Pledge orange furniture spray. Well, sitting on my couch in the other room, I noticed that the portion I cleaned (the bottom half of the cabinet) is now whitish in a lot of areas. The top of the cabinet which I left alone looks perfectly colored, and the bottom is blotchy white.

Is there anyway to easily fix this, or did I ruin this cabinet forever?? I feel so bad because I know my mom paid a lot of money for it, and claims to have used Pledge on to clean this cabinet before. I tried to point out the problem to my mom, and she said I must not have rubbed it in all the way when cleaning. So I tried to test a small part of the cabinet today to see if that theory is correct, and it still looks the same.

In the pictures below, you can see the difference in the top and bottom of the cabinet.

Hoping someone has an answer as to if Pledge caused this issue and how to fix, or at least bring the red color back to life. And also, for the future - what should you use to clean this type of cabinet?? (Although, I don't think I'll be touching it again).
