The pic is showing up with interesting lavender on the cabinetry and taupe on the tile. If that's true of the cabinetry color, it doesn't seem to work with the tile, so you might consider painting it.

The basics are very nice - fresh & clean looking. Do you really need to paint? White & grey are very refreshing together.

A small-medium chandelier would be charming, especially in crystal.

Place a bar light over the vanity mirror? can't tell if there is one there or not.

A large piece of art hanging on bathtub wall - must be able to withstand humidity.

According to a gallery owner in Birmingham, AL, oils work great in bathrooms. I would find a gallery near you and purchase a gorgeous oil in an abstract and hang it over the tub. I would pull colors from that to accessorize with towels, rugs, etc. I've had one hanging in my bath for 2 years and LOVE it. If you prefer primary colors I'd choose something like the first one. Otherwise I like the second one.. Both are from http://www.greatbigcanvas.com/.

The light in the shower will not meet code requirements. Neither will a chandelier if the edge of it is within 36" of the tub deck.

If meeting code is an issue maybe you could do a flush mount or semi flush with a little sparkle. The picture attached is one that's currently on Overstock. I had the challenge of finding artwork (large in size, but not large on budget) for an indoor pool. I went with a mural style from Murals Your Way. I double checked with their customer service department that the product could withstand the humidity. After hanging simply trim it out for a framed look.

Semi-flush fixtures are considered pendants and not allowed either. Just flush mount or recessed.

You could also do a nice mural over tub

Color from candles, soap dispensers, towels, shower mats, vase, etc. will change the look dramatically.

I think a pretty yellow with the gray/white and some black accents would be lovely. Look for a graphic rug for the floor, and some yellow towels. And art over the tub, for certain.
