What does "wainscot or time" mean???

Oh, sorry. I meant tile. Was typing fast!

Thank you. I just didn’t know if both rooms walls wallpapered would be too overwhelming. Trying to think of the best way to break it up that seemed more natural.

The tub is being replaced by a glass shower.

It depends on what the wallpaper looks like, and what your tolerance and definition are for "overwhelming." Small scale subtle designs are less "in your face" than large multicolored busy patterns. But lots of people like drama, which are you?

I do repeat the importance of planning when re-doing a bathroom. And the choice of paint or wallpaper is not a decision to make in the beginning. Plan your large items first--fixtures (sinks, toilets, etc.), tile (floor and wall), fittings (faucets, shower body). Then you can choose vanities, counter tops, and whether to use wainscot/tile. Wall color/wallpaper is determined by your permanent fixtures.

Just want to say that it is an exciting project, so have fun with it!

Once everything else is done come back with pictures of the new bathroom and the wallpaper you are thinking of.

How will this project be structured - is it DIY or are you hiring out? If hiring out is that person/company a skilled tiler or has one who knows how to waterproof a shower? Will the new shower be all tile or a preformed pan base/walls? So many questions to answer first and design decisions to make before you can address height of/amount of wallpaper. That’s really the icing on the cake and you have to bake the cake first. And before that you have to figure out recipe and buy all ingredients.

Oh, hired out. For sure. I’ve done a build before - was just thinking about the layout of the walls.
