First off I give you credit for planning a full tile in the doorway. Unfortunately because of the printed pattern cutting tile on a angle will exaggerate the problem. If you plan on replacing the carpet. Which I'm guessing your are by the photo. Replace the threshold setting it to a even joint along the tile. it won't show as much on the carpet side. Plus it will be hidden when the door is closed. Other than this issue you did well for a first timer. Everybody starts somewhere and I'm willing to bet you won't make that mistake again:)

I think the threshold will cover the extra space. You really are not off by much.

Do not for get about the extra height needed for the toilet. Do not use a double wax ring. it will fail in the future. Use the appropriate toilet flange extender.

I really love that tile. A perfect choice for a small bath. I probably would have started at the door but I'm no professional. I don't see that it should be a problem. A wider threshold or if you are planning on replacing the carpet should take care of it. I would love to see the finished room when you are done. Please share.

Yes, but it would still look like he added to grout to fudge it. He needs a threshold so get one with a thinner lip and cover the edge. No harm no foul and it will hide the even edge completely and no one will be the wiser.

I think cut the tiles to fit there and add the threshold and it will honestly not be such a big deal and other than that a good job . I agree with Joseph we have many worse from”pros”
