Typically, we don't recommend going off a picture to select a stain color for individual projects as color variances in computer screen resolutions, camera lenses, photographic angles can be deceiving. Our recommendation is to get a few sample-sized stain colors from your local supplier and test it on a board of the same species you are planning on using. Then place the ample board at the location intended to be stained and watch the colors throughout the day so that you can judge what the colors look like at various time during the day. This will give you the obvious answer on what your stain formula/color should be.
