Different sheens on trim work?

Our reno has new coffer ceiling w/ shiplap being installed in LV RM, new crown in other select areas, new cabinets and new baseboards. I didn't want too much shine on the LV RM ceiling so planned for satin finish. Same for kitchen cabinets and their adjoining crown. For ease of cleaning I thought semi-gloss would be best on baseboards (and by association the door casings/doors too) but I'm worried that different sheens on the different components of trim work might be a design no-no. I agree we should do what we want for our house, but I do like to understand the "rules" so I can make an informed decision on when to break them. All carpentry will be same color regardless of sheen - BM White Dove.

1) Any thoughts on whether using different sheens on the trim will be noticeable - in a bad way?

2) I'm thinking Satin will provide a very soft glow on LV RM ceiling without looking shiny or drawing the eye to it, agree or disagree? Thanks in advance for any insight!
