I used (Oatey® Safe Flo Silver Plumbing) for my lines for heat pump and furnace. I was told that stuff would eventually crack out. Anyone have an input? Also if the lines were cut and open for weeks and was able to air out would flush be neccessary? I went from R22 to 410 A system. I've always heard that freon lines should be brazed due to higher pressures than soldering is good for. Also, I'm told by A/C pros that it's the oil in R22 that needs to be 100% purged, so a solvent needs to be mechanically rinsed through the lines; not a DIY job. YMMV

Not recommended, but should be OK if its done properly and vibration at the joints are minimized.
