I started tomatoes by seed late this year, out of fear that maybe because of the many shut-downs because of the virus, I wouldn't be able to buy larger plants this year. But.....About 10 days ago, I found all the larger plants I wanted. They had been affected by the cold temps around here at the nursery, but I brought them home and they got really happy............but too happy. I probably can't plant them for another 3 weeks. I know that I can plant them deep outside, and even plant the root ball sideways and bend the rest of the plant upwards. I even had ordered a grow light which just came recently. I have these guys in a South facing window. Any humane (haha) ways of slowing them down a bit? Should I put the new grow light closer to their tallest leaves, but not for 14-16 hours a day? Should I cut back on the natural sun they get? Any suggestions? I just don't want them to get old before their time. :)
