PE770 bobbin problem

I have a PE770, when I try to sew the black thing the bobbin sits in doesnt move. The casing moves around it and the timing seems fine with it. I have cleaned everything, removed it and checked for any damage to it and ensured it is installed correctly and nothing works. Can anyone help with this?
