I'm not sure how removing the grout could resolve any of those issues; it won't change how the tiles were laid. There are 3 separate baths in your photos; why was the work not stopped after the first one? There is no way to undo this, the options are to either live with it or redo with someone else. Only you can answer that.

New home build so we werent always here. Owner did sub some of the work out. It’s EVERY area. Laundry, dog shower,mud room as well .

At what point did you get THERE. ? If not until all the areas had been tiled? BOO. If you are long distance, with no designer checking progress? Lobby for a re do. I doubt you will get it all paid for. Grout has noting to do with tile lippage. UNLESS the idiot installer tried to grout an hour after he laid the tile. and walked crawled, leaned all over his own install.

I agree foreigners would have been better I do agree this is either a do over or you live with it. I hate to say this but alot is on you it is your responsibility to be on site often during a build to catch errors at the beginning. This was a big job done over many days and could have been caught at the beginning .I advise my clients to make quick trip at least every second day . So many things can go wrong and are always best caught at the beginning. Did they say why they changed from ditra to the other underlay?The waterproofing it most important part of shower tiling and you should have been there . IMO your tile choices probaly led to some of this . way too many different tiles in a space the tile layout in some places an issue some pictures I have no idea what you are showing, like the black spots on a wall the slanted measuring tape. I will say if you were that particular you should have been there.

That was just the folder of issues. I’m not that picky and honestly, it wasn’t until I physically was washing the floors that I noticesd. Boo for me? I’m sorry I’m working as essential personnel during these trying times. My husband, as well. I’m sorry that I would expect someone should know how to do their job. I certainly am held accountable to standards. Shame on me for hoping all professionals are as well.

Tile and grout choices are a problem? At no time was I told there would be concerns. I used one color tile and grout for laundry, mud, craft and hall. It’s a strange layout that I think works with the hex.

I think it really depends on how your project was run. We had a project manager and his job was to inspect the subs work and ensure it was okay. We checked when we could but we are not builders and don’t know what to check for. If you had a similar set up then complain to the project manager and site supervisor etc. This would upset me too!

When I buy a car and take it to be checked over I expect the mechanic to catch the issues as they are the expert. I’m not. Yes I see surface level things but the experts hired are supposed to see most.

If they don’t it is exactly why this industry gets a bad reputation. A complete lack of accountability all around. It’s garbage
