I'm trying to remove a bunch of the viny plants in the picture below- ivy, what I think is a vinca (please correct me if it's not), and whatever the one with the variegated leaves is. The goal is to plant something else there. but I'm finding that the soil is full of tiny roots and these plants keep coming back up. I'd like some advice on the best way to eradicate all of these for good so I can put other things there.
