Blue doors are lovely against gray homes. Sticking with Ben Moore Paint here are two that might work well to brighten up the front

and you may want to think about a color like orange which would be very nice with the Chelsea gray.

Or yellow. Hawthorne yellow is a medium tone yellow that looks nice with Chelsea gray

Hi. Your palette is already so lovely. And I really like the HAWTHORNE Yellow suggested by Design Interior South. You have lots of room to play with a fab colour for the front door.

On a colonial style house such as yours I'd like to see a pretty color but not a "clean-bright" nor a pastel. Both of these seem too cottagey/ tropical for your handsome home. Blue or yellow would both work but for a yellow I'd select an earthy ochre or gold tone.

I like white. It will make the door stand out. A darker color (look at your own photo) makes the door look like a hole.

I like that there are no shutters on the bay windows. Have you ever considered no shutters on the front?

These are all wonderful suggestions, thank you! Can you paint a metal storm door? Also, I’ve always loved the high gloss look on pictures but is there a certain sheen I should be using?

Love the color suggestions above, especially yellow and white. Painting the storm door the same color will help paint made for metal. I like semi-gloss for the door.
