Planning to paint entire home's trim and walls a new clean white. Home is in Nashville with western and eastern exposures. Kitchen and living room are open concept with western exposure. Planned to paint everything (millwork and walls) one color of white in different sheens and was going to do BM Super White but now I'm a bit concerned it may fall flat without any contrast between the cabinets and walls. The kitchen will have Carrara marble counters and backsplash, unlaquered brass hardware and faucet. Floors are white oak with Bona Classic Seal (brings out the natural grain and warmth of wood with a minimal subtle neutral tint). I decorate with cool colors and style is modern classic. Living room will also have Carrara marble surrounding fireplace.

If I stick with the monochromatic plan I'm partial to Super White for the trim but concerned about it being too stark on the walls. I'm also looking at Distant Gray. In my space Distant Gray has a fraction more depth and perhaps softness but looking at color data they are *very* similar colors. I really wanted to do this monochromatic look for the entire home for a modern simple look that will be timeless. I only want to repaint our millwork once!

Or I can do Super White everywhere but in the eastern exposure rooms (master bedroom and dining room) only do it on trim and go warmer on walls with BM Cloud White? Cloud White is nice in our living room but I'm concerned it is too yellow for the grayer Carrara marble counters and backsplash in the kitchen. I also like BM Paper White for a subtle contrast that is cooler/neutral on walls and it would work in the kitchen/living room with the marble. However the chroma difference between Super White and Paper White is only .14 so I eliminated it but I still think it looks pretty. I like Super White more than Distant Gray for my millwork if I go this route.
