Late frost damage to newest growth.

I had some of that on my Burfords this year and on a few other hybrids -- especially ones that were fully exposed to the night sky (not under a tree canopy).

A lot of areas of the country had late spring freezes this year. Could be damage from that.

the usual problem is.. that it didnt 'show' for a week or so ... and by that time.. you forgot all about the event.. if you were even aware of such ...

just keep an eye on the newest growth.. to see if there is an ongoing problem..

ps: an of course.. also hope that there isnt another frost ... this is all very common.. this time of year .. in my MI .... everyone gets all excited about an early spring.. and then ma nature.. giveth.. and then taketh away.. with frost.. or even worse.. freeze damage ...
