Warm iron over paper towels.

Boiling water......I have a pot I don't use for cooking to boil candlesticks in.
You can also lay them on a cookie sheet on top of paper towels and put into a 200 degree oven until all melts off.

Ive has good luck with freezing mine. The wax breaks off very easily afterwards. Any time I’ve tried to use heat, it seems to leave a waxy film. Try freezing them first. The thicker the wax the easier it comes off with this method.

I see people talking about acetone, vegetable oil, gasoline, but someone always comes and says it doesn't work.

You won't know it doesn't work for you until you try it.

I would try mineral spirits. Or acetone, which the stronger fingernail polish removers are made from. Or the gasoline if you have some lying around.
