Semi-inground pool installed as in-ground, or shallow only pool?

Does anyone have a semi-inground pool installed as an in-ground pool (basically, an above-ground pool installed as an in-ground), or an in-ground pool with no deep end? How has this worked? Do you regret not having a deep end? Installing the semi-inground as an in-ground would save us about 10k fees. We have been thinking about whether a deep end really matters to us. The pool would be safer for our kids (at least for now), and we're not sure if they'd really care about not being able to dive when they're older. I would love to hear if anyone has done something like this, and how it worked out. Any regrets? Do you love it? Any pictures?

I have a relative with a pool with no deep end. It's great for playing water volleyball. It's about 4 ft. deep at deepest.

Our pool slopes from three feet to five feet. We’re very happy with it. Diving into a pool is dangerous and can be hard to insure if you have a diving board.

We live our semi in ground pool. This is our 6th season and we have no regrets if not having a deep end. Eight grandkids ages 2- to 10-years. The worst they do is an occasional cannonball. Even the “big kids” do them with no problem. Our pool is 17x33, 54” deep. It is 8” above ground in one end and 24” at the other. We have a deck that is 4’ on 3 sides and 12’ on one side. The fence is on the pool deck. We also have another area that is 18x27 that will have a pergola and pavers by midsummer for more entertaining space.

We had a 30', 54 " deep, round, above ground all the while the kids were growing up. Cannonballs happened all the time. They enjoyed diving at grandparents pool, but enjoyed games in ours....
