Exotic looking plant. Anyone know what it is?

This is growing in the middle of my lower bed. Does anyone know what it is?

Did I perchance get it at a swap and forget?

    could it be a daylily, Hemerocallis, emerging, with some leaf damage?


    I have weeded out bits of some removed dallies, and they can sprout from small bits of rhizomes (at least, older, tougher cultivars), with just one fan
