I have to admit the weather forecasts have been less than reliable lately. Maybe they'll be wrong this time. Again.

Your hostas are lovely. I had to murder a bunch of mine because the pips froze and I could only cover so many. They were starting to rot.

Beautiful host, cold weather--OH NO, Do you have any sheets you can use to cover up plants with? I buy $3 sheets from the thrift store to keep on hand in case of a late freeze. They cover a large area and are light weight.

Djacob, I'm in western North Carolina. The last three or four years it's been warmer in February than early April. If it freezes, which I hope it doesn't, this will be the latest in many years.

I think everyone is having weird weather now.

Frankie, I do have some sheets I could use. I guess I thought they would be too thin to help and they're way too big to cover with pots.

I am a southern neighbor in NE Georgia almost to SC and we are having cooler weather Sat. but not freezing. I have used sheets for many years and they have been enough to keep from freeze damage and easier to store than big pots. I have put pots over the smaller ones in previous years but sheets are easier. We got a bad storm last night and lost power. Luckily it didn't last too long. It did make a lot of little oak sticks fall and some skewered my hosta leaves. Been picking up sticks today.

I share your feelings about the weather. Very similar here. Current prediction for Friday is 28° F. I tried to protect a bunch of stuff, but could not get everything covered. Doubled Up

I'm sorry about the frosted ones.

I have been wondering what to do with my garden. Planned frost/freeze at least 4 nights here, down to 26 on Friday. Some of the hostas were just recovering from a freeze at 23 deg we had when a few were just starting to break ground.

I guess take pictures now, cover what I can and hope for the best.
