community garden

I have a community gardening plot that is 10 x 5 feet. I would like some advice on what can be reasonably grown in that space. The list of things that I'd like to grow is long (tomatoes, basil, cucumbers, lettuce, green onions, sweet peppers, egg plants, herbs, peas, zucchini), so I need to be realistic about what I can actually plant. Thanks.

Where in the country are you? How is the soil in the garden plot? I assume you have access to water. Do you just want to try a plant or two of each of those? Lettuce and peas like cooler weather, so they can possibly be planted immediately, or yesterday. When they die out in June you could plant Zucchini there (likes warmth and it is quick to mature.......though likes to hog up space). In the fall you may be able to plant more lettuce there. The cucumbers and tomatoes can be staked to grow almost vertically. A few herbs along one side of the garden will not take up much room. Is this your first garden? Enjoy!!

Tyler, I too am thinking that it's not a dragon fruit plot and that the OP might have tagged C&S by mistake, but I'd like to be proven wrong. A Hylocereus wrangler is the hero we need in these trying times.

I think Houzz automatically cross-posts based on the forums an individual most often frequents. I don’t think it has anything to do with the goals of the poster themselves. There might be a way to prevent cross-posts, but it isn’t obvious to me.

No, sorry, I don't think Houzz posts that way. I've been on 4 plants Forums & Quilting Forum for 19 yrs. & it only posts where I choose to post. Except for the site 'Using Houzz' which appears to be locked &/or moved around at the Moderator's Discretion.

Houzz 'suggests' to choose up to 3 different forums to post on. They say exactly: Get more answers by posting on up to 3 topics of your choice...

That is not quite true and very misleading for ppl eager to get help. I am not surprised that 'newbies' think they need to choose 3...and that is the problem. Houzz should say something like: choose most appropriate forum; if not sure chose up to3 closest to your question/subject...or something similar.

Another thing Houzz seems to do (I am not sure if new or not) is that new members are all HUxxxxxx...I guess HU sands for Houzz user? - just speculating. It gets confusing if everyone is HU with just different number after that - I wish they encourage ppl to use avatar of their choice (just my beef! :)
