Countertop Fabrication Botch Job - What Would you do?

We are remodeling our home and recently had porcelain countertops installed. There are a number of issues and I need some perspective on the problems.

In the kitchen, there is a chip on the edge of the countertop near the sink.
In the master bathroom, there is a cut near the edge of the sink opening.

In another bathroom, there is a chip in the backsplash. This seems like an easy fix.
On the bar, the seams that meet the walls are jagged. The fabricator claimed that they thought there would be a sidesplash to hide the seams - we will not have any sidesplash or tile on the sidewalls of the bar.

What would you do? Should we ask for replacement of the slabs? Is it reasonable to expect that there are no chips or gouges? Can they repair the chips without it being noticeable? What is industry standard on these matters?

Thanks for your input.

I don't know anything about porcelain counters, but I would probably want it replaced, especially the sink area.

As for the sidesplash in the last two pics, sounds like your installer assumed incorrectly and did not plan appropriately for install.

The answers to all your questions is yes.
But next time, please do your homework on the company that you choose to do the work. There’s a lot of jack legs out there and it appears you found one. Ask for references and he offers to put you in contact with say 2 of his clients to check his work, ask to see at least 10. Hope you had a contract specifying exactly what was to be done and any recourse available to you. And make sure their licensed and insured. Hope this can be resolved without a mountain of stress and frustration for you.

Those are poor quality repairs. They didn't even try for a color match on the vanity. I wouldn't install anything I thought a customer might find. Maybe they could re-profile the vanity sink edge to reduce the cut. Switching the sink with a custom sink with a larger apron would eliminate the kitchen sink chip and may be less expensive than replacing the slab.

I don't know how the porcelain guys can stay in business with the nature of the material.
