Orchid roots need air. Your potting material has composted and that means the spacing in the pot is gone. No air for the roots kills the plant. It could have been saved if it was repotted much sooner. Or use lava rock that never breaks down. Also use no urea fertilizer like orchid plus at the big box store.

99% it is dead. There is a very small chance that it could grow an off shoot from the crown if some of the roots are alive. It would be a long road and take some effort so it would be much easier to get another one.

The potting mix does look like a solid clump, sphagnum moss can be tricky to use. If its too wet it breaks down fast and cuts off the air flow and kills the roots. If it's too dry it will repel water and kill the roots.

You could take it out of the pot, clean off the old medium and cut off the dead roots. Then keep it warm and humid and see if anything happens. If you're in Florida try putting it in a small clay pot with no media and put it outside somewhere in the shade and forget about it for a few months. It won't grow if you look at it.
