Theu are too short anyway. BTW when posting pictures and questions make sure the pictures are not fuzzy and can be enlarged in this case I have no idea what the drapes look like and you give no info as to why you are asking since drapes are one of the last things you do after the furniture . I will say thay mantel does not work .

Although computer screens will render colors slightly differently, my issues with your room are the cool grey walls don't harmonize with the orange-gold tones of the flooring and the fireplace. The white mantle, although done to match the chair rail, baseboards, door trim and crown molding as well as harmonize with the grey wall color, is jarring against the brick, and against the black fireplace screen and surround/frame. I would suggest painting the brick to a more grey friendly cover, and remove the chair rail and crown molding which are drawing down the height of the ceiling. By removing them, it will make the ceiling look higher (if the french door is a standard 78 inches, then it looks like the ceilings in this room are at 8 feet?) Replace the mantle with something more substantial (recycled barn wood mantle in appropriate thickness and color to harmonize with the walls, repainted brick, and black screen). Floors can be adjusted with appropriate rugs, or if you want to spend more, refinish with Bona Nordic (lightens and adds grey/white tones). Best advice, higher an interior designer. They do this for a living, so most folks often can't beat their experience. Best Wishes.
