How is everyone day/night going. Got home from the library just now, pretty productive today. Chilling for a bit and then back to the paper. The introduction is almost complete so going to finish it up tonight and start the purpose.

angela, i had a pretty pair last week. painted them annie sloan paris gray. distressed and waxed. sold them.

DIA-I am going around in circle trying to find a pair, ordered a set and they showed up and looked like crap, so back on the market.

Robin, one of my gal friends has run in the Death Race at Grande Cache. Yes, she's crazy, like you!!!! She has entered twice, the last time she didn't make the cut off time in the fourth leg (can't remember what happened the first time) :( she came back beaten, bruised and barely walking!!!! She did not enter in it this year, she just had a baby girl July 22. She's a Deputy Fire Chief and I think you two would get along well.

I've got a bunch of coworkers there right now. Awesome to see the progress. I'm not sure if I'd ever do that, but it sounds like fun. Sounds like they got hail today :(

mforr, yes the last log was bucked yesterday. Dragged stumps and roots with the quad today. Sat on the dock in the sun and drank a few beer. No waterskiing for me anymore, too hard on the ol' knees. I learned to surf last year LOL that was hilarious!!!! I hope this year I don't look as pathetic as last year BUT I'm sure I'm the only 46 year old grandma out on the lake doing it!!!! So to hell with it, i'm staying current!!!!

BAD first day at Club Champs. And to add insult to injury I missed a two foot putt in the horse race with 30 people watching me. Bad, bad day.

robin, Yes actually it's this weekend. That is NOT progress, that is punishment/suicide/hell/ and everything else that's horrible and painful LOL I'll stay right here and eat my Ju Jubes.

mforr, I want to get a SUP Board but I refuse to haul it back and forth, there just too big to transport easily. I'll wait till the house is built, so next summer I get one. Need to do a bit of research before I purchase one. I bought a surfboard......then I bought the right surfboard for me Arrrg@!! now I have 2.

I know it's good exercise, but the people using the SUP's around here look like they're having no fun at all, I'd much rather kayak or swim. The size of them too, better wait and have it delivered. A friend of my husband got one for his wife for her bday, he went to pick it up in his little SUV and was surprised to learn that it would be too big to carry home, lol. Had to try and rent a trailer at 11:00 at night so he could get it home on time.

Oh Robin, no kids her age really sucks!!! I remember the first 2 weeks of summer holidays was always great for the boys, the remainder was a lot of effort for me to keep them entertained. I used to take them to Alberta Beach, Sylvan Lake Watersides, Wild Waters by Winterburn, One week at summer camp and the list goes on and on. Well, I know it's awkward to meet people in person when we've only chatted on line, I have reservations too. Maybe one day Kimdee, you and I will say to heck with it and just meet.

mforr, yes there HUGE, like 10-11' long. I know a few people around the lake that have them and they like them. I think they'd be great first thing in the morning when the waters like glass. Once all the seadoos and boats are out, not so much. Maybe they would be fun to tow?????? One time I had a motor boat tow me in a canoe........ ya, well that didn't end so well!!! LOL I was 21, what can I say.

That's a riot, who's brilliant idea was it to pull the canoe!! I hope it wasn't yours, because then I can see you asking someone to give you a little pull on your SUP. ;)
How long does the builder tell you the project is going to take?

mforr, Mine, mine, all mine. I've owned it and probably would do it again. LOL, what I wasn't expecting was for the front of the canoe to rise right out of the lake. Before we crashed.....I bet more than half the canoe was out of the water LOL ahhhhh, that was seriously funny, terrifying but funny.

They said possession would be July 15 2014.... then they said they would be done a bit before that. Basically one year. I'd like it done by Canada Day July 1st or by the third Saturday In July where there is an annual Regatta, fireworks and bbq at the lake. I know once I see any progress, they won't be able to build it quick enough for me. :(n hurry up dammit!!!!

Well, if you make it to Heritage Days on Monday and see me cruising around, feel free to stop me and say hi. I'll be the only female bike medic to the best of my knowledge.

I hope they stick to schedule, have you checked with customers of previous builds about their ability to finish in a timely manner?
Can't blame you, once you see a bit done, you think it's almost done, they must be flying along you think, but it isn't that fast. Pace yourself, don't get disappointed, it's always going to take a lot longer than you hope. :)

If I haven't thrown my clubs into the river by the end of the day tomorrow, I will be playing golf on Monday... but I hope you get to enjoy Heritage Days Robin -- and the only emergencies are upset stomachs from all the food pavilions.

Hi everyone...Our pick up was stolen from our driveway last night and recovered this evening 80 miles away...They found it without a key so we hope the motor isn't blown or anything.

@olldcan...We didn't have a spare key..we just licensed it a few days ago...we bought it in January in re:our business....so it was sitting until we licensed it Wed. or Thurs. Then it was stolen one day later....We plan to get a key made, then drive to get it...it's is 80 miles away. Just relieved...didn't want to spend any reserve funds on a vehicle.

Oh Jamie, that is rotten luck. Hope all is well with it. People sure stink sometimes. :(
