my first thought is.. they are stressed from bare rooting/storage ..... shipping .. planting.. and you ought to give them some time to get over it .. especially since they are leafing out right now.. which is a stress itself ...

i would doubt that minor differences in media mix are all that big a deal ... when it all boils down ...its how you water.. based on your mix .. that is the key ... and since you are experienced ... you ought to know to let them near dry before watering again ... basically not growing them as bog plants ...

so i would probably wing it.. and then decide if i would want to repot them in fall ... or better yet.. plant them in the ground ... or at least heal them in.. i dont recall where you are.. and whether winter pot storage is an issue ...

i would hold the pots in full bright shade ... or so the pot itself is in shade.. so it doesnt heat up ...

your base problem.. is that of most of us.. the more you know or learn ..... the more you worry ... lol .. when i got to that point.. i just started winging it ...

ps: e.g. .. you could literally use mother earth in the pot .. and it would work.. if you could properly maintain water ... so i dont see why a little dust should be life threatening .. if you just water properly ....
