Definitely under the window. Not exactly sure why it's not centered under the window though. I would put lazy Susan cabinets on either side... if you need space to do so, trt a smaller 15" drawer cabinet between the lazy Susan and oven. Also scoot the over a little by taking space by reducing the drawer cabinet size (between the oven and pantry). I'd personally rather have a centered window with two functioning corners than a few more inches between the stove and pantry.

Put some tall cabinetry at 12 in deep on the side of fridge . It will face out rather than in toward kitchen , and have shelves and hinged sides . Then reduce the three tall pantry cabs to right of stove and put some counter on that run . You have forced all actions into the very small u part of space.....extend counter in area mentioned so kitchen can actually function.

Hi Herbflavor. Did you mean to put the 12 inch cabinet to the left of the fridge? Another consideration is that where the three tall pantry cabs are, there is a protruding wall and only 12 inch deep space.

Leave the pantries how you have them because of the bumpout. You might consider some glass door configuration if the pantries are highly visible from other parts of the house and if you have pretty things to store.
The corner upper cabinets contribute to a closed-in feel. You do not need corner cabinets there. Just continue the upper cabinets into the window wall.

Emilyam819, thank you. Yes I was not sure about the corner upper cabinets, for the same reason. The only reason to leave them would be for additional upper cabinet space, I guess. Another question I had was if I go with corner sink, I will probably move the dishwasher right next to the fridge. That way the dishwasher can be opened and someone could be working at the sink at the sane time. Is it a problem having the dishwasher right next to fridge? The would be separated by cabinet frame.

DW by fridge is not a problem, but I think you should do the sink under window.

Ok. The reason I’m considering doing the corner sink is to free up valuable lower cabinet space. With the sink under the window, most of the space will be allocated to under sink area. This is a pretty small kitchen, and there seems to no other option for nice wide cabinet drawers? Otherwise yes, I would definitely prefer the sink to be under the window.

greatest needs in small kitchens are counter and storage. You are overweight with storage with the long pantry wall. Even 12 in deep counter there will be invaluable. You will still have cabs above the counter and cab below counter. but insert counter there so you are not cramped up in your U area. 12 in deep counter: coffee pot/toaster/ laying out food during "guest " activities.

Move the DW next to the fridge (don't forget a return panel to support the counter top), omit corner uppers as emilyam suggested, then use a corner susan if you have enough space. Move the sink over beside the corner susan, leaving a wider prep space to the right. That should also leave enough space to stand between the open DW door and the counter, to unload the DW to the uppers.

Herbflavor, yes I agree regarding the need for more countertops. It would be interesting to hear people’s experiences with 12 inch deep countertops.
