Exterior update for red brick bungalow

Hi there, would love suggestions from you on how to update my red brick bungalow. :) I would love to go modern and am strongly leaning to cladding the dated stacked stone in a cedar siding (second photo as inspo). I am torn between going light or dark with the stain on the cedar, and am also playing with the idea of taking the cedar siding all the way up the right hand side of the house instead of just around the bottom (so the side with the big window). What do you guys think? I like modern but soft, and I do dream about painting the brick one day, but that is a little ways away. Oh, and the chain link fence is getting replaced with a horizontal wood one next week. Thank you!

    I like the black-framed steel windows and stacked-window front door. I would continue the look with a slightly heavier black porch rail system and yard fencing. I would plant a tree forward from the left corner to eventually block the confluence of wiring and power poles. Charcoal siding and red brick is a pleasing combination, and the wider concrete steps add weight to the entry. I’d add one handrail to the steps.
