Help with master bedroom

We recently moved into our home and I need help/ideas with making the master bedroom look complete. Please suggest things we can add and/or move around. I've added different angles of the room. Thanks!

Take the mirror off the dresser and put the TV there , you need lamps on the nighttables and IMO much nicer bedding . Some art and drapes on the windows. Start by finding bedding, since the bed is quite pretty I would look a t coverlets insted of duvets or comforters so the end can be tucked in as you show. This would be pretty with your blue pillow at the front and the matching shames where you have the square blue pillows . Then some really pretty pale blue linen drapes , you could get blackout ones if you like. I love the bed between the windows .

Thanks for the responses! Can you post examples of coverlets that may look good with the bed? I also need a rug suggestion as well. The cable hookup is on that wall, so not much of an option there.

The view when you walk into the room is the second picture. You see the bed and dresser, and the TV is on the wall to your left.

thanks, ok then, I would move the dresser under the TV and remove the mirror from the dresser. I would use the wall where the dresser was as a seating area with two chairs and a table in between. I tend to like white bedding and then use pillows with color for accent. i really like your blue accent pillows and so I would bring blue into the rug. heres a few rug ideas to start. is there a feeling you want to have in the room? you may want to start an idea book and post pics of bedrooms that you like. your room can go in many different directions so want to make sure it evokes the feeling you want

Is there room to do any of these ideas under your tv?

If not...how about pictures around the tv...

Thanks for the visuals, it really helps! I am open to changing the bedding, but definitely will keep the blue accent pillows. I want a seating area so that suggestion is great.

Where can I find the first rug? I want to keep the room light and airy!

There's definitely room for those ideas! really like the second one, including the bench in front of the bed.

all rugs from rugsusa. heres the link to first one. seems like you have a pretty large room, may want to measure and make sure the rug is large enough. 8x10 or possibly bigger... below rug biggest size is 8x10 and looks like it would be find under your bed, is your bed a queen size? may then want another rug for seating area if you go in that direction

    Thanks! Yes, it‘s a queen.

heres a concept for how to layer your bed linens......start with white sheets and then a white coverlet to tuck all the way around the bed. add a nice fluffy folded duvet at the very end of the bed so you see the coverlet on the height of the mattress like shown in the pic. duvet could be a different color like shown. two matching euro shams as the duvet and then your accent pillows. one trick to getting the fluffy duvet look at the end is to get a king size comforter insert for a queen size duvet.

It also looks like you have a fan for a ceiling fixture, are you open to more of a chandelier vs the fan? chandelier can also make a big difference for a room

No matter what you put under the TV, with the bed between the two windows, watching the TV whilst in bed will be very uncomfortable. With that bed placement, I would move the TV to between the two doors. It's not that hard to move a cable. Is the attic above this room?

Also, a ceiling fan is much more functional and useful than a chandelier in a bedroom. Very few adults look good with an overhead light beaming down on them. Fans are useful for cooling and heating.

a few ideas for chandeliers, if you are open to changing the fan out. each is under $200

Settle on bedding before rug. The order I like to do is bedding then rug then drapes/other upholstered items then paint. And have each of those items in hand to see in real life before you proceed to the next item as tones/colors viewed on line can be drastically different once received. Good luck!

I would suggest to do window treatments last as you want to get the look of the room together first and then add the window treatments

It is a good idea to add more decor to create comfort in the bedroom. For example, you can hang curtains, put lamps by the bed or lay a rug. Here are some options on how to choose a rug for your bedroom. https://yourinteriorexpert.com/2020/06/10/which-carpet-to-choose-in-the-bedroom-and-living-room/
