Quartzite stains from install?

Hi all-

Our new counters were installed almost two weeks ago. Same day of install I noticed all these spots along the stone that was closest to the walls. They have continued to grow and the small spots have gotten larger and more spots have appeared. We haven’t started even using our new kitchen yet so it’s not from any food or oil. There also is a fun shoe tread mark stain on our island too. The fabricator came out yesterday to look and said he has never seen that before. I asked him if it could be the silicone from the install leaching up to the surface and he said he hasn’t heard of that. I know the quartzite is porous because water gets sucked right up into it and then dries out. He said he is going to send a crew to reseal everything but I don’t want to reseal without all these stains gone. Opinions on what this is?

    Looks like silicone bleed to me. It can be catastrophic.
