Warmer nights, better blooms

I saw Kay’s post today and thought we were on same wavelength about the Sunday blooms. So here are mine to overload on the pictures!! Since weather has become more normal, ie warm nights, the blooms are much better!


Mint Octopus. Kay posted hers as well. Her photos last year enabled me to get this one.

    I haves lots of noids in my gardens-mostly inherited where I never knew the names. Then I have my ALTS-a lost tag-due to moving lilies, faded tags, critter interference, etc. Here are a couple:

      It looks as if it might be Dilemma. I let that one go, finally. Mint Octopus is a pretty one...better bloom than mine today. I like Talavera Terra Cotta,I tend to like dark throats. My Songwriter died last year, and that is a pretty bloom. Apparently our gardens are in tune; I had a nice one of Geometric Wizard too; isn't it a pretty bloom. I loved it from Nancy's postings and am so glad we could get it, Jinxy is a pretty one as is Axiom. Nice posting, Kate.

      Will second Kay on favorites. I like Jinxy, Geometric Wizard with I think Axiom being my favorite today. I think its form and nuanced colors are just perfect in your picture........You also know I like the yellow noid...............Maryl

      I have debated on getting Jinxy, and talked myself out of it several times. May reconsider that. I like Geometric Wizard too. I noticed buds on my Billy the Kid yesterday, always like that one! I agree that noid looks like Dilemma, I saw a scape on mine today, so timing seems about right blooming with Billy the Kid. Nice pics!

      Thanks all. There were many more but picked these as the best bloom photos. Kay, Geometric Wizard is blooming in small foliage with a single scape with three buds but this was a nice bloom. And Maryl, we yellow lovers must stick together! Nancy, I got Jinxy from Laura and last year it did not show much on the blooms but this year all blooms have confirmed why I wanted it. Sherry and Debra, I am a sucker for Stamile pinks, even these older ones.

      YAY on your blooms opening well now! It's so nice to see daylilies blooming. Lots of mine have spring sickness from the cold spring so I hope they straighten out by bloom season. My favorite of these is Mint Octopus. As you know, I love green throats. Keep those photos coming!!

      So jealous that you have blooms ! I am loving Geometric Wizard,Billy the Kid ,Waterdrops and your purple seedling with the lime green throat are my top 4 . That doesnt mean the others are not lovely , just that these are the ones that my eye kept going back to.

      Kate, the ones that catch my eye are the seeding with a green throat and the purple ALTS. Good to see you have lots of blooms already.
