At your altitude I'd give it another month, Kim! I'm down here in the lowlands in Denver at about 5200' and we're still getting into the 40s over night. At 2500' higher you must still be getting into the 30s at times, and bleeding hearts freeze very easily. About a month ago we got into the teens down here and most of mine, even though it was covered with a heavy nursery size pot, froze. I cut everything that was frozen off and it's regrown since then and is blooming now on the new growth, but with as high as you are I think it's good that yours isn't up yet! Just give it time! Odds are that as your temps, and soil, warm up more you'll be seeing it!

Thanks for sharing, Skybird. You were correct! My bleeding heart is up now and starting to show a few leaves. My husband says I think it is dead every year and then it comes up! No kidding.
