Oh, Julia, how nerve wracking that must have been to not be there physically. Sadly, it is a sign of the times. Fortunately you did get the updates. So glad he was able to have the surgery and get home. That must be a relief to you! What a journey you have been on.

Hopefully your gardening season will get in full swing soon as I always feel that is great therapy for the soul.

I am glad that your husband's surgery went well. Hopefully, the healing will be swift and complete.

Our temperatures have come up here but we too have had a lot of rain. We wanted to start planting seedlings but there has been too much rain. We have four sheets of landscape fabric down and need to put down about four more sheets. Every time we have a day that it doesn't rain, it is windy so we have to put it off.

Great to hear you and your husband are experiencing some good things Julia ! I am sure this long drawn out winter ( and I have to call it winter cuz it sure hasn't been spring like in our ( yours and my ) neck of the woods) is maybe finally over and there is some decent weather heading our way.

Know that you are not alone in still having so many weeds to pull . I think this season it may be weeds 1 gardeners 0 . I know I will be weeding all season as I am so far behind thanks to the weather. it isn't funny. The damn chickweed and dead nettle and creeping charlie are definitely winning right now .

Best wishes to your husband for a good recovery. The weeds here are especially bad because of so much rain this Spring. It is an overwhelming feeling to see so many - and here to see so many scapes up. For me, weeding around scapes always means some broken ones. But I just weed and mulch as much as I can each day and hope to get most of it done by the time the dayliilies bloom.

So glad to see Dearest Valentine fans did double for you since last year!

I am so glad your husband has the surgery behind him...It is really hard with the virus keeping families away but I am glad you got good reports. The weeding has been monumental this year and will be unless I get more mulch. I am glad you are able to get into your garden and hope things improve where the weather blasted them. Glad that Debra's is doing well for you.

So glad the surgery went well, I am sure it is good to be done with it. I know it had to be really hard not to be with him, I feel so sorry for anyone with family/friends in the hospital now. It sounds like the staff and doctor was really caring and good. Your daylilies will probably pull through as soon as it warms up, and weeds are always there. At least they are for me! Hope you get good news at the doctor's visit next week.
