Let's Dance Starlight Cold Damage?

I purchased a Let's Dance Starlight PW Hydrangea, mail ordered from Jackson and Perkins. It arrived and looked very healthy, albeit small. I may have jumped the gun, and planted it Mother's Day weekend (in Boston). While the weekend was warm, typical New England weather swooped in and temps dropped into the 30's for two nights that following week, but never below freezing. As you can see from the pictures, it looks like it suffered a bit of cold damage, but there is some new foliage slowly coming in. My question is, will it bounce back despite it's small size? Anything I can do to help it along? Any advice is appreciated!

Given proper care, it will bounce back form any cold damage. But I wouldn't put money on it flowering this season.

Oh, it will get better for sure as the roots were not injured. The leaves are another story. They may stay like that or they may completely brown out or .... ??? The plant will decide and produce new leaves in 2-4 weeks if it wants to. Your average date of last frost is the first week of May. Since it is an average, I would add two more weeks and be vigilant for late frosts until thereabouts. If the flower buds open and they look partially brown or all brown then they got hit too. It is a nice lacecap in pictures. Enjoy.

Thanks for the feedback! I'll keep an eye on it and continue to give it some good, deep waterings. The temps are on the up and up so hopefully that will help it continue to get established.
