Help to identify this maple

This is growing in Westminster, Colorado zone 5b. Our zone 5 is cold in winter and very hot and dry in summer. This maple has the "look" of a Japanese Maple Bloodgood but I know it is not. The leaves are much larger and well, it's thriving here (which JMs generally do not). It is growing as multi-trunk more like a giant shrub. But if I could identify it, I am thinking it could be grown as a sort of faux JM.

Does anyone know what this beauty may be?

Resembles the much grown Acer platanoides 'Crimson Sentry'. Definitely a Norway maple at any rate. In my area 'Crimson Sentry' mildews badly in summer, this specimen may be going to do that also - you should wait and watch to see what happens to this example later in the year before buying a 'Crimson Sentry' for yourself.
